Abstinence ClearinghouseThe Abstinence Clearinghouse is an association that supports promoters of abstinence. Based in the USA, it was founded to provide a central location where resources, programs and speakers could be accessed and as a platform for abstinence promotion networking. The association's website provides hundreds of regularly updated articles on all topics related to sexual abstinence. It distributes factual and medically correct information about abstinence, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, marriage and much more. Some of the articles are long, but they are worth the read for the knowledge that you gain. Keep in mind that not everything on the site comes from a chastity or Christian perspective. However it's still a good place to arm ourselves with the facts so that we know why saving sex makes medical and emotional, as well as spiritual sense. Overall this is an attractive, easy to navigate site with clear aims and headings making it a good resource for abstinence information.
REAP Youth Mission TeamThis site is a subsection of the Archdiocese of St Louis' Youth Ministry website, written by members of their REAP youth mission team. Unfortunately this site is not obvious in its aim and requires exploring and reading a number of headings and articles, to come to the conclusion that it is a site about chastity. Searching through the site you can find good solid information about chastity and the benefits of saving sex for marriage, though it is often wordy in its explanations and doesn't contain many clear summaries. With eye-catching photos, downloadable testimonies and Christian music, the site has some great features and is visually appealing. However it would be easier to use if it had a more simple navigation structure and a clear and concise message on chastity.
Catholic Educators Resource CentreThis website is a regularly maintained collection of articles written by various well known Catholic academics on a wide range of social and moral issues of today. The sexuality section is quite extensive. Some articles can be a little heady and long, however the keyword search facility makes this site great for finding information on specific topics. The site is aimed at teachers and those seeking answers to the tough questions.
True Love Waits - USAThe official website of True Love Waits in the United States of America. It runs from the LifeWay Christian Resources website of the Southern Baptist Convention. Interesting for a read to see the kind of ways TLW operates in other parts of the world.
